Wayne Grudem's Christian Beliefs: Twenty Basics Every Christian Should Know is a concise, accessible guide to core evangelical Christian doctrines, condensing his larger systematic theology for new believers or those seeking a refresher. It covers 20 fundamental topics like the Bible, God, Jesus, sin, salvation, the church, and the end times, focusing on clear, applicable explanations with scripture to build faith and discernment, not deep academic detail. (134 pages)

  • Include Scripture-based ethical reflection.
2) Ethical Case Study Discussion

  • Write a 3-page paper and create a presentation outlining both secular and biblical ethical approaches and lead a class discussion.
3) Personal Ethics Rulebook
  • Students develop a “Personal Ethics Rulebook” consisting of 10 principles for godly living based on Scripture, explaining how each principle would apply in daily decisions (school, work, relationships). 3-pages.
4) The Trolley Problem
A moral dilemma: a runaway trolley is about to kill five people, but you can pull a lever to divert it onto another track where it will kill only one person; should you pull the lever?
  • Write a 3-page paper that explores conflicts between ethical frameworks like utilitarianism (greatest good for the greatest number) and deontology (duty/rules), questioning if it's morally acceptable to actively cause one death to prevent five, and why people often feel differently about pulling a lever versus pushing someone in front of the trolley, even if the outcome is the same.
