Your treasure has been stolen by the fierce Math Monster!  You and your partner will set out to try to recover this valuable treasure.  Be careful!  Along the way you and your partner will have to solve problems and answer some questions.  If you come across the Math Monster don't be scared, just show him how smart you are and everything will be okay. Find the lost treasure and it will be smooth sailing through the seas.

And remember X marks the spot!





You are well on your way.  You have just spotted the Math Monster's ship.  However, before you can approach the ship you will need to complete task #1.

Task #1: Remember, Multiplication is simply repeated addition. If you know addition, you know multiplication! You will need to define MULTIPLICATION, FACTOR, PRODUCT, and DIVISOR using the following link (hold the Ctrl button as you click the link)  http://www.homeschoolmath.net/teaching/md/factoring_1.php. 
Don't forget to record your definition on your treasure map (notebook).

Great! You have now reached his ship.  However, before you can climb aboard the ship you will need to complete task #2.

Record your level on your treasure map (notebook).

Wonderful! You may now climb aboard his ship.  Be very careful and extremely quiet. You spot him!  However, before you have any contact with him make sure your multiplication skills are top notch by completing task #3.

Wow! You and your partner have just defeated the Math Monster ~ Congratulations!  Now you must find the lost treasure.  In order to recover the treasure chest you must complete Task #4.
