You will be working in a group of 2-3 students. You will be allowed to choose your groups.
Task #1: In order to become familiar with the mystery genre you need to do a little research. You are going to visit a library thinkquest site called Millennium Mystery Madness. In your notebook, tell about 2 interesting facts about "The History of Mystery". http://library.thinkquest.org/J002344/ Task #2: In your notebook, list the 5 parts of the "Anatomy of a Mystery". http://library.thinkquest.org/J002344/ Task #3: Read through the Detective's Dictionary handout on the right to become familiar with the mystery terms. In your notebook, write 2 terms and their definitions. Task #4: Now that you are familiar with the history, parts and vocabulary of a mystery, you are ready to enjoy one! Click on the link on the left and it will take you to the story that you will read. In your notebook, write the name of the suspect you think stole the guitar. |
