GRADING:

Daily Practice = 5 points per day

(Grade Reflects Participation)
  • 5 points for completing all math problems accurately and diligently
  • 4 points for working diligently but not completing all problems correctly
  • 3 points for completing very few math problems
  • 2 points for completing math problems but with behavior distractions
  • 1 points for completing minimal math problems with significant behavior distractions
  • 0 points for completing none of the assignment
Late assignments will be graded for partial points.


Homework = 5 points per day
(Grade Reflects Responsibility & Management)
  • 5 points for completing all homework and turning it in the next day 
  • 2.5 points for completing half of the homework
  • 0 points for completing none of the homework

Late assignments will be graded for partial points.









Tests = 100 points per test/project
  • includes test-taking skills
  • grade reflects mastery/retention






BEHAVIOR/CONSEQUENCES:

Consequences per class
Warnings may be given more than once if student displays effort.

1st demerit = name written
2nd demerit = teacher consequence
3rd demerit = detention/parent
4th point = office referral

Cell phones out of the locker will earn 2 demerits. Phones will be held  in the office if taken out of locker/backpack. Other behaviors are a 1 pt  consequence (ex: disrespect, disruption, not following class/middle school rules, etc.)
